Until February 19, the FEHD gazetted the "Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 2021" to include cats and dogs in the definition of specified animals in the Ordinance, so that cats and dogs injured in traffic accidents can be treated in a timely manner. The person can be fined up to 15,000 yuan and imprisoned for 12 months.

The "Draft" will resume the second reading debate at the Legislative Council meeting on April 28.

If the "Braft" is passed, the Ordinance will be gazetted for 6 months before it will come into effect.
