Covid-19: nighttime vaccination tested at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome

To date, more than 60,000 people have already passed through the doors of the vaccinodrome since it opened on March 15, which represents an average of 10,000 vaccinated per week in this place open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 6 pm.

A goal of 1,000 vaccinated per night

"We are still dependent on the number of doses that the health authorities deliver to us but for the moment, we have 500 additional doses for the first night, so we hope to vaccinate 500 people", specifies the management of this center, installed in the commune of Montigny-le-Bretonneux.

Which is already planning an objective of 1,000 vaccinated during the next nocturnes, probably at the rate of one nocturnal per week, on Fridays.

Despite this, the organization is in no way upset by this change.

"We do not need additional staff, we remain on the same volume of 200 to 250 volunteers and health professionals available in our pool, blows the management.

These five additional hours of weekly work will mobilize around 100 people.

Among them, there are twelve doctors, twelve nurses, fifteen security agents, fifteen reception agents, ten coordinators, twelve people in the secretariat.

The vaccination campaign took a turn this weekend in the Yvelines, with the opening widened to priority professions (cashiers, bakers, taxis, etc.) in the centers of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Poissy.

These two sites, which were exceptionally open this weekend, are each capable of vaccinating between 3,000 and 4,000 people per week.
