A manhunt in New York for the suspect who vandalized four Jewish synagogues in what the Anti-Defamation League has already referred to as a "series of insolent attacks."

Security in the synagogue's houses in the neighborhood has already been increased.

Police released a video from Saturday - around 11 p.m. - showing a suspect throwing stones at the windows of the Young Israel Synagogue in Riverdale, Bronx County.

The video shows the perpetrator repeatedly throwing objects and at one point even kicking his foot to smash the window.

Sadly, this was just one of a series of other attacks: Similar incidents took place in three other synagogues where the windows were smashed, all in Riverdale.

New York City Mayor Bill de Bellasio tweeted yesterday that the NYPD's hate crime task force "has a solid advantage (in investigating) the vicious acts of anti-Semitism."

De Bellasio pledged to "take swift action against the perpetrators", adding in a direct appeal to anyone interested in passing information on the subject - "that he should contact the NYPD immediately."

In January, thousands of non-Jews marched in a huge protest march on the Brooklyn Bridge organized by the Jewish Federation against the backdrop of severe incidents in the past year in Monsey, Brooklyn and New Jersey.
