The Religious Zionist faction arrived today (Monday) for a tour of one of the riots near the Beit Orot yeshiva in Jerusalem, but they did not expect the next turn: stones were thrown, apparently by Arabs, at the party car in which Bezalel Smutrich and other faction members were present.
Every evening rioters throw stones, fireworks and Molotov cocktails at the yeshiva buildings and at the Jewish residents living in the area.
Members of Religious Zionism went on a tour of the place in order to strengthen the residents and the security forces and examine the police readiness.
In addition, they met with the residents and received an overview of what is happening in the area in recent days and weeks.
The chairman of Religious Zionism, MK Bezalel Smutrich, said: "Our eternal capital, Jerusalem, has become a battlefield. Every night, Arab rioters use a variety of measures against Jews and there is no compensation here.
"I call on the Minister of the Interior, Amir Ohana, to act with a heavy hand against the rioters.
It is not conceivable that the residents of Jerusalem will be threatened at their place of residence.
"This is a shameful event that if the State of Israel does not learn to stop it, it will develop and grow to dangerous dimensions," he said.
