Hamas' demand from Israel to stop Jewish visits to the Temple Mount "in exchange" for peace in the south is raised by a terrorist organization that feels it has stopped paying prices for its wild conduct - both when it comes to rockets in the south and in terrorist attacks in Jerusalem, Lod or Judea and Samaria. Hamas presents an inverted world: Instead of Israel deterring the terrorist organization, Hamas seeks to deter Israel, and often succeeds.

The organization that leveraged the modern blood libel "Al-Aqsa in Danger" and turned it into a terrorist production line to "rescue", "liberate" or "redeem" al-Aqsa from the Jews and Israelis who "defile its Muslimness" is now one step further.

Hamas is not content now with false plots against the State of Israel, which allegedly seeks to demolish the mosques on the Temple Mount;

He is no longer content with launching knives and crushing the streets of Israeli cities "in the name of al-Aqsa" and "for his release."

He is also no longer satisfied with the terrorists, who boasted in their investigations that they tried to carry out knife attacks on the entrances to the Temple Mount in order to disrupt and prevent Jewish visits to the mountain.

Now Hamas is allowing itself to go one step further and put things on the table: an end to Jewish visits to the mountain.

Back to a time when Jews were barred from visiting the saints in their places.

It is to be hoped that no one in the Zionist parties or in the security and police system in his mind has the thought of responding to this cheeky demand.

The possibility of visiting the Temple Mount is the last Hersh sheep left for the Jews there, after in 1967 Defense Minister Moshe Dayan decided to ban Jewish prayers on the mountain.

Israeli governments for generations have adhered to this "status quo" ever since, although Muslims have turned the Temple Mount on it since those days and trampled on the "sacred status quo" on a number of issues: they have established two more mosques on the mountain - ancient al-Aqsa and al-Marwani "In the stables of Solomon.

They also used the Gate of Mercy compound as a Muslim place of worship, damaged and damaged the Temple Mount antiquities, and greatly expanded Jordan's influence on what was happening on the mountain, until it became Israel's actual partner in managing the compound.

They also managed to gain a foothold in the "mountain envelope", in the form of influence and from time to time also a right of veto over changes at the foot of the walls of the Temple Mount (eastern, southern and western).

In recent years, Jews have been murdered and injured by Hamas-affiliated terrorists, who in their attacks sought to "block" or "disrupt" Jewish visits to the Temple Mount or "harm" them. Such was, for example, Sabah al-Sabih from East Jerusalem, who murdered her son Malihi and Yosef Kirma. So was Muhammad Traira, 19, from the village of Bnei Na'im, who murdered 13-year-old Hillel Yaffe Ariel on the outskirts of Kiryat Arba. Bra'a Issa, who stabbed and wounded an Israeli in November 2015 near a supermarket in the Sha'ar Binyamin area, wrote that he "devotes himself to guarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque," as did Baha Khalil Aliyan and Balal Abu Ghanem, the two terrorists who killed three Jews by bus Gallows Immigrants in Jerusalem (October 2015). All and many others linked their actions to al-Aqsa.

All these hundreds of attacks carried out in recent years "for the sake of al-Aqsa" and to "block the way of the Jews there," have not benefited Hamas, which is now trying to write a new equation: a quiet south for the Temple Mount free of Jews. This needs to be understood and internalized. To answer him with a grand and public "no", and especially to answer the deterrence in front of him.
