The president was quoted on the Lebanese television channel Al-Mayadin as saying: "The coming period will be critical" • The Iranian delegation led by the deputy foreign minister arrived in Vienna for further talks with the powers • Earlier, the Revolutionary Guards commander threatened Israel and said: "Zionist entity close to collapse"

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said today (Monday) that there is significant progress in talks between Iran and the powers as part of negotiations on his country's return to the nuclear deal, the Lebanese news channel affiliated with the Hezbollah terrorist organization Al-Miyadin reported.

It was also reported that a delegation led by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Said Arakchi had landed in Vienna ahead of another round of talks with representatives of the powers.

Talks are expected to begin tomorrow.

The commander of the Revolutionary Guards, General Hussein Salami, today launched a new series of threats against Israel, following the riots in Jerusalem and the rocket fire at the Gaza Strip.

Salami made the remarks in an interview with the Lebanese television network Al-Mayadin, which is affiliated with the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

"The Islamic Republic will respond to any crime committed by the Zionists with great intensity, greater than the intensity of the crime," Salami told the Lebanese channel.

"The evil deeds that the Zionists are doing in the area will return to them and expose them to real danger in the future, and if they continue to commit such acts, they will come even closer to their collapse, especially since the conditions for the collapse of the Zionist entity have matured."

Salami hinted that Iran's hand was in the act.
