Tehran-SANA

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani confirmed today that there is progress in the Vienna talks on the nuclear agreement signed with his country, pointing out that the development in the talks is "tangible."

"Tehran is negotiating strongly in Vienna and everyone, including the United States, is talking about the need to lift the embargo on Iran," Fars News Agency quoted Rouhani as saying during a meeting with economists, adding that "the development in the talks is tangible and we live an important period of time."

Rouhani had recently announced that Iran's return to abide by its obligations regarding the nuclear deal is subject to the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2231 and the abolition of the embargo imposed on it.

It is noteworthy that the Vienna talks are taking place within the framework of the nuclear agreement and in the presence of representatives of Iran and the Group of Four plus One only, and there are no direct or indirect negotiations on the Iranian delegation’s agenda with the United States.
