Today, a Russian court has indicted a Ukrainian citizen of the espionage case.
Sputnik news agency quoted Russian security sources as saying: "The Krasnodar District Court has sentenced the Ukrainian citizen Marchenko to 10 years in prison and decided to confiscate the money in his possession."
The investigation revealed that Marchenko received $ 163,000 from the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service to purchase spare parts for S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems in Russia.
Marchenko had to deliver the spare parts to the Ukrainian company responsible for exporting and importing arms, "Ukr Oboron Service".
Marchenko was entrusted with the task of acquiring spare parts for the S-300 systems in May 2018 and arrested in April 2019.
