According to the work report of the 31st Standing Committee of the Stake, as of November 3 last year, there were 207 member groups in the Stake. The standing committee is set up under the member groups, and the standing committee has different working groups, including the secretariat and the organization department. , Rights Protection Department, Communication and Publishing Department, etc.
In December last year, in response to political factors such as the implementation of the National Security Law in Hong Kong, the Standing Committee was reduced from 20 to 14 Standing Committee members to deal with the new political situation.
At present, the website of the Stake Association still uses "Release the pro-democracy activists, vindicate the 1989 pro-democracy movement, pursue the responsibility of the massacre, end the one-party dictatorship, and build a democratic China" as the five guidelines of the association.
However, after the National Security Law was passed and implemented, it was accused of "ending the one-party dictatorship" that was in conflict with the Constitution. Among them, Liu Zhaojia questioned that "ending the one-party dictatorship" violated the Constitution, and it is doubtful whether the members of the stake can qualify for election.
