Joe Biden has served as US President for almost 100 days.
Current US surveys speak for themselves.
But one measure by the president met with broad rejection.
Washington DC - January 20th, 2021 is a historic date for the United States. Joe Biden replaced his predecessor Donald Trump as US President. And even if Trump was in Florida during Biden's inauguration, he was still present. The last weeks of his presidency were remembered, especially the violent storm of his fanatical supporters: inside the Capitol * burned itself into the memory of the United States. Five people lost their lives in the unrest, and the images of the rampaging mob went around the world.
Donald Trump disqualified himself for broad sections of the public in the final months of his presidency, but his political course continues to entangle many people in the country.
So Joe Biden can
look forward
to recently published polls from the
Washington Post
and ABC News.
The Democrat surpasses his predecessor Trump.
But when it comes to a political question, he does not meet with much approval.
Joe Biden in office for almost 100 days - polls confirm his political course
As the surveys published on Sunday show, the majority of Americans are satisfied with the course of the Biden government.
The results certify the Democrat approval rating of 52 percent.
For comparison: Donald Trump's popularity * in similar surveys reached around 40 percent.
As the polls show, the political camps perceive Biden's politics differently.
While around 90 percent of voters in his Democratic Party support current politics, only between nine and 13 percent of Republicans are satisfied with Joe Biden's course.
Americans punish Joe Biden for his migration policy
Biden received the most approval in the polls for his corona policy.
The US president clearly exceeded his promise to allow 100 million vaccinations in the first 100 days of his term in office.
So far, around 200 million Americans have had a vaccine administered inside.
Apart from the vaccination successes, Joe Biden also has to take criticism.
The Democrat received the lowest approval ratings for his dealings with migrants on the border with Mexico.
If his predecessor Trump still opted for isolation, Joe Biden wants to make migration policy more humane.
A dramatic increase in the number of refugees on the US southern border is now putting the president under pressure.
Despite its great popularity, there are calls for a rigid immigration policy in the United States.
