On Monday, this Vendée commune in the running to obtain the “Grand site de France” label, decided to buy an agricultural land of 6500 m² at a price of 125,000 euros.
Its current owners?
Individuals from the community of Travelers who recently acquired this same plot for 12,000 euros.
A sale, concluded legally and by mutual agreement, that Maxence de Rugy would have discovered after the fact:
"We had no right of preemption anyway."
Located in the hamlet of La Guittière, near the seafront, this meadow is classified as a natural zone, protected under both the coastal law and the local plan.
