The epidemiological data of this Tuesday and Wednesday will be key to determine what will be the
new restrictions
to contain the second wave of coronavirus in the City.
Two of the measures that take force are that businesses remain closed to the public and only pay attention to the sidewalk and stop social gatherings.
For the latter, the Buenos Aires government sent
a letter to consortium administrators
seeking collaboration to prevent social encounters in departments and common spaces.
"To contain the spread of the virus in this second wave, we need you to continue collaborating to enforce prevention measures,
especially the prohibition of holding social gatherings
in private homes, as established by the national government through the presidential decree of 9 April ", says the letter sent by the Buenos Aires government to the consortium administrators.
The note, which bears the signatures of the Buenos Aires Chief of Staff, Felipe Miguel, and the Secretary of Citizen Attention, Facundo Carrillo, asks the administrators "to redouble their efforts to help us continue to raise awareness and
enforce prevention measures
to take care
of
ourselves. among all".
The common spaces of the buildings are enabled, but can only be used by owners and tenants, one by one and only with their cohabitants.
The Buenos Aires government seeks that administrators enforce the
protocol for the use of common spaces in buildings
, in force since October 12, 2020. One of the main points is that these spaces can only be used by owners and tenants.
In a statement, the Buenos Aires government explained that it aims to respect the restrictions imposed by the DNU signed by the National Government.
This includes "avoiding social gatherings in apartments,
appealing to good practices in the use of common spaces
, how not to use SUM, adopting a shift system, schedules and number of people per functional unit and space, and respecting the measures of hygiene prevention, social distance and use of face masks ".
The other change that is being evaluated, according to
Clarín
, is that merchants serve customers on the sidewalk.
It is an alternative to a strict closure, which would allow them to continue working.

A similar scenario occurred during the strict quarantine last year, when non-essential shops reopened.
Customers were prohibited from entering the premises and
merchants set up tables and counters at the door
to serve them.
In this way, the lines were moved into the open air.
The commercial premises that sell basic necessities (food and medicine, mainly) would continue to be open as before, with the entry of customers.
Another measure under study is to
impose some kind of limitation on construction
.
The reason is that it is an activity that generates a lot of mobility between City and Province.
The closure of the playgrounds in the squares is also evaluated, to avoid the circulation of children and their parents.

Meanwhile, from this Monday in the City
a limit of ten people was established for the practice of collective sports outdoors
, which includes, for example, five soccer fields.
According to a resolution published in the Buenos Aires Official Gazette, the activities must be carried out in compliance with the current care protocol.
Among other things, "sports institutions must manage a shift system to avoid crowds in their facilities; take the temperature of everyone who enters, and have a list of all participants who attend physical activity with their corresponding contact numbers ".
Despite the increase in cases, in the City they firmly maintain the position of maintaining open schools and hope that the
Supreme Court of Justice
will decide whether or not the DNU of the national government that ordered the suspension of attendance is constitutional.
Although moving towards any of the scenarios proposed by the Buenos Aires government, such as bimodality, is not ruled out either.

The DNU of the national government expires at 0 on Friday.
An announcement with new restrictions is expected, which this time would be agreed with the Buenos Aires government.
In fact, the Nation called a meeting with the City and the Province.
On Monday, experts advising national authorities asked for 72 hours to evaluate the data before moving forward with definitions.
Although the latest measures slowed the growth of coronavirus infections a bit, the number of daily cases remains high.
Even so, the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, said on Tuesday: "We have already been with a curve for more than 14 days that has stopped growing. It has stabilized and in recent days there has been a slight decrease in cases."
In the last health part of the City it is indicated that 2,662 cases were detected on Monday.
And there is a worrying figure: the occupancy level of intensive care beds in the public system
already reaches 84%
.
This is a new record since the start of the pandemic.
"We have to prevent cases from rising. But if cases rise, we have to take greater restrictions," admitted Diego Santilli, the city's deputy chief of government, on Monday.
