With a little delay, the expansion of the fiber optic network in Inning by Deutsche Glasfaser is to begin in about a month.
The contracted construction partner Soli is expected to start in the first week of June.
The residents will receive detailed information in good time before the start.

- As reported, after a hesitant start, Deutsche Glasfaser has reached the 40 percent mark and thus the prerequisite for expanding the high-speed network. This means that 40 percent of the 1,091 households in Inning and Stegen have reserved for a fiber optic connection. Only in a further step did the operator later decide to extend the expansion to the districts of Buch, Bachern and Schorn. The bundling of demand in these areas has meanwhile been successfully completed. The planning phase is still ongoing.
"As in the neighboring municipality of Wörthsee, the first construction machines will shortly be rolling in to expand the fiber-optic network in Inning using rapid expansion processes," says Corinna Trümner, press spokeswoman for Deutsche Glasfaser. The original plan was to start the expansion in April. That didn `t work. In the first step, the conduits will be gradually installed in the streets from June onwards. As soon as the conduits are laid, the glass fibers are "blown in". At the start of construction, two to four columns, each with around six to ten employees, will be on the road. The operator points out that during this civil engineering work it is sometimes necessary to temporarily close open areas in the asphalt or paving (e.g. with paving stones),in order to be able to record them again if necessary. “When and in what order is started is at the discretion of our construction partner Soli. We don't have a schedule yet, ”said the press spokeswoman.
The construction processes are carried out in close consultation with the municipality and construction management, Corinna Trümner further assures. The municipality controls and documents each expansion area in advance. After the work has been completed, the road conditions (road, sidewalks) will be checked by the municipality. "The proper restoration of the surfaces by the contracted construction partner is mandatory," assures the spokeswoman for Deutsche Glasfaser. If there is a need for improvement, the construction management will take care of the processing immediately. "As of today, the end of civil engineering and the last customer activation are planned for mid-2022."

It is privately engaged nationwide for broadband coverage in rural regions. The employees of the construction office of Deutsche Glasfaser in Wörthsee, Etterschlager Straße 14, are available for all questions and suggestions about the construction as well as contractual issues. The construction office is open on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
