Indicted for "
sexual assault by a person having abused the authority conferred on him by his position
", the sixty-year-old had initially been placed under judicial supervision.
After an appeal from the prosecution, the investigating chamber of the Lyon Court of Appeal ordered, on April 9, his imprisonment.
The attacks on the two young women, aged 23 and 33, were allegedly committed in November at the practitioner's office, who also allegedly followed one of them to her home.
In 2006, this doctor was sentenced for similar acts to two years suspended prison sentence and five years of prohibition to practice his profession.
This had earned him an entry in the Fijais (automated judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses).
