2021-04-29T20:10:42.410Z

The Chancellery threatened to suspend the assignments of future magistrates to find the culprit of racist inscriptions on documents shared by the promotion.

The party is ruined.

The 309 justice auditors, the student magistrates who are currently graduating from the National School of Magistrates (ENM), came close to finding themselves without

sine die

assignment

.

To the chagrin of all French jurisdictions which impatiently await fresh recruits to dispense justice.

The case, unveiled by Mediapart last week, begins on April 14. On this date, the aspiring magistrates who will soon be able to take up their function after an eighteen-month training course, feverish to obtain the desired assignments, exchange classification lists to assess their chance of assignment. Suddenly, racist insults appear in these shared documents, incompatible and unworthy of their future functions:

"France to the French"

,

"The Arabs out"

... Digital graffiti which moved part of the promotion which warned the school and its director. Which have discreetly seized the Bordeaux prosecutor's office, which is diligently carrying out a criminal investigation by means of the judicial police.

But the blood of the director of the judicial services of the Chancellery has only turned. Paul Huber receives the delegates from the auditors, affirming that since this is so, he reserves the right precisely not to distribute the precious list of assignments until the culprit (s) have come forward, assuming their individual responsibility. Threats which triggered a general outcry among the magistrates' unions which denounced, this Monday, a policy of denouncing and the taking hostage of a whole promotion, while hammering that these words are not worthy of a future magistrate. "

It is an infantilizing and detestable method in the face of a stupid and condemnable act

", underlines Ludovic Friat of the Union Syndicale des Magistrates.

The case is mounting enough pressure, so that during the day the Chancellery moves back and ends up publishing the list of assignments with the appearance in videoconference of Eric Dupond-Moretti himself who affirms that it was "

no d 'a call to denunciation but to the honor

"and to promise that"

his hand will not tremble when it comes to punishing the culprit (s)

"regretting that" this day is not a day of celebration ". For her part, Nathalie Roret, director of the school, deplores the affair for "this promotion which suffered throughout her training because of the Covid".
