Mauritanian forces, federations and political groupings condemned the Western coercive measures imposed on Syria, stressing that they seriously violate all international covenants and covenants.
The National Arab Youth Council in Mauritania, in two letters addressed to the European Union and United Nations representatives in Nouakchott, expressed its strong condemnation of the starvation the Syrian people are facing due to the coercive economic measures imposed on them by the European Union and the United States.
The Council demanded the lifting of the unjust siege imposed on Syria, stressing its solidarity and its complete stand with it by the leadership, army and people, and its rejection of all forms of interference in its internal affairs, calling on the world's free people to support it in its battle against injustice and terrorism.
In turn, the General Secretariat of the Mauritanian Arab Youth Union and the Association of the Young Mauritanian Era, in a message addressed to the representative of the European Union, denounced the siege and coercive Western measures that the Syrian people are exposed to, affirming that they stand by Syria, its leadership, army and people.
The letter called on the European Union to respect the options of the Syrian people in determining their future without any external dictations and to work immediately to end the unjust economic blockade imposed on them, which affected all aspects of life in Syria, especially in light of the Corona pandemic, noting the need to restore diplomatic relations with the legitimate government in Damascus because it is The only way to end the suffering of the Syrian people and restore security and stability as this people deserves and in a way that is consistent with their right and aspirations to build their future.
The message also called for clearing the way for effective participation in the reconstruction of Syria and achieving peace away from the political goals that caused the suffering of the Syrian people and in accordance with international humanitarian and legal principles.
