The expertise should also contain relocation potential for trips to school and to larger employers.
In addition, a database with a cycle path and signage register is desirable.
Building on this, an everyday and leisure route concept could be drawn up.
According to Neueder, the aim must be to create a continuous network of cycle paths with action sheets to eliminate all identified deficiencies.
They also want to promote a link with bus and train as well as the cycle path networks of the neighboring districts.
An optimized situation for pedal knights also includes high-quality bicycle parking facilities for the district administration, in some cases even entire mobility stations with the option of temporarily storing luggage and purchases.
Professional associations such as the ADFC and ADAC, but also schools, are to be involved.
Neueder would like to create incentives to switch to bicycles.
For example, kilometers driven and the CO2 savings could be added up across the district using an app, as in the AOK campaign “By bike to work” - combined with prices for the most eager cyclists.
The good thing about the politically mandated right of way for cyclists: There are high subsidies.

"We could get 80 percent of the costs for a concept." The prerequisite is that a project from it is actually implemented in the sponsorship of the district, for example a cycle path on a district road.
However, the subsidy is limited until the end of 2023.
District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer (CSU) said that a concept could also accelerate cycle path construction, for example next to federal highways.
The prerequisite is always "that communities get to the bottom".
Thomas Gneißl (FW) emphasized the importance of quick connections.
Local roads should also be included.
Wolfgang Fritz (Greens) asked that electric cargo bikes should also be taken into account - with charging and parking facilities.
Mayor Max Gotz (CSU) said that it was too much of an encroachment on the sovereignty of the municipalities.
Business should also promote e-mobility.
