- The verdict caused a sensation across Bavaria the week before last: A family from the Weilheim-Schongau district, whose child is attending the Schlehdorf secondary school, had moved to the family court in Weilheim due to the mask requirement.
The judge came to the decision that the “best interests of the child were at risk in this specific case” and ordered that the school management should no longer require the child to wear a mouth and nose cover on the school premises with immediate effect.
The 12th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance was subsequently described as "unconstitutional".

Now the parents' council of the Schlehdorf secondary school has spoken. "We are surprised by the verdict of the Weilheim family court," says chairman Mathias Brüseken from Iffeldorf. There is "unanimous lack of understanding regarding this decision". In the past few days, the school's sponsor, the Archdiocese of Munich-Freising, was informed about the press release. "Consultation with the ordinariate is important to us," says Brüseken in an interview with the Tölzer Kurier.
The current situation is currently not easy for the entire school family - i.e. students, parents and teachers.
"We are all very happy that everything is being done at the school to ensure that, despite the difficult time, high-quality teaching is guaranteed both in distance, alternating and face-to-face classes." five to nine are in the distance class.

Therefore, the way to enforce the non-wearing of a legally prescribed mask through the judicial process is all the more incomprehensible for the parents' council.
The parents' council of the Realschule had not been asked or involved in this special case in advance.
"We are convinced that we would have found a solution together with the parents and the school management," says Brüsken.

Wearing a mask is not just for personal protection, but also for the protection of the entire school family, said the chairman of the parents' council.
"For us parents, it is important that, on the one hand, peace at school is guaranteed and, on the other hand, that lessons can continue to take place at the previous level of quality."
