The United States will transfer 60 million doses of AstraZenica's corona vaccine to other countries, the White House announced last night (Monday).

The state has not yet approved for use the vaccines developed at Oxford University, after cases of blood clots were discovered among the recipients of the doses.

Authorities are expected to inspect them in the coming months, and upon receipt of the green light, transportation will begin.

President Joe Biden has come under fire for storing vaccines without using them, while other countries are desperate for a solution that will stop the spread of the virus.

Last month, he pledged to share about four million doses with Mexico and Canada, both of which the vaccine received approval for.

White House spokeswoman Jen Saki predicted that about ten million doses could go out of state after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) completes the vaccine test in the coming weeks. According to her, another 50 million rations are in various stages of production. "Our team will pass on more details about the plan and the identities of the countries that will receive offers from us, but at the current point we are still in the planning process."

The crisis in India also contributed to the pressure exerted on Biden. The United States has already stated that it will supply materials to vaccine plants in a country that is battling an outbreak on a huge scale. The White House said in a "warm and positive" phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Biden promised to continue assisting, including with "oxygen-related supplies, vaccines and other treatments."

To date, the FDA has approved three vaccines against the virus - from Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

Experts estimate that the vaccines of the three companies will be sufficient for the citizens of the United States, so that those of Astraznica will not be needed.

According to the latest data, more than 53% of adults were vaccinated with at least one dose.
