Andreas Müller led the Evangelical Community in Wolfratshausen for many years.

He will be followed in September by Nepomuk Planitzer from Mühlheim an der Ruhr.

Wolfratshausen

- "I would like to arrive here and get to know the people." That says Pastor Nepomuk Planitzer.

On September 1st, he succeeds Pastor Andreas Müller in the Evangelical Community in Wolfratshausen.

The 41-year-old is accompanied by his wife Pamela (39) and their four daughters Anna (14), Lilli (13), Emma (10) and Amelie (5).

Planitzer is currently working as a pastor in the Andreas parish in Mülheim an der Ruhr, around 650 kilometers away.

Not the next way to Loisachstadt.

Because even if the family has contacts to relatives on the Schliersee and friends in the Oberland, Wolfratshausen was rather unknown.

"Except that the navigation system once diverted us to Wolfratshausen," says Pamela Planitzer and laughs.

“So we did our research on the Internet.” And the pictures stuck in my mind: “When we - back then - looked at Hubert and Staller, the area suddenly seemed somehow familiar to us.

So we googled again, ”adds Nepomuk Planitzer.

"Then we also knew why."

Carpenter, youth worker - and now pastor

Here in Wolfratshausen there is an old friend: Pastor Müller himself, who, like Planitzer, studied at the Tabor Evangelical University in Marburg.

However, Planitzer decided relatively late in favor of the clergy.

After graduating from high school, the 41-year-old learned to be a carpenter and worked as a volunteer youth worker in Augsburg.

Here he also met his future wife Pamela (39), who originally comes from the West Palatinate.

After completing his apprenticeship, the technically gifted man wanted to continue his education as an interior designer or industrial designer.

“But then I discovered theology,” he looks back.

And so he worked for the past 13 years first as a youth pastor, then, afterwards, he took over the church pastoral position.

A real fan of FC Bayern

For Wolfratshausen and the Evangelical Community, the staunch fan of FC Bayern Munich has already planned a lot.

“I would like to know what interests the people here, I want to develop a feeling for them.” It is important to him to get involved and to live a good neighborhood.

"I - or we - want to become part of the whole." It is also important to Planitzer to include all members of the community as far as possible.

“Whether senior or teen, everyone should be able to contribute their own ideas and thoughts.

Everyone is an important part of the community. "

The pastor and his family only regret one thing: "Due to the corona, we cannot meet friends for a big farewell and spend time with the people who are important to us."
