The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Aleppo, in cooperation with a number of charitable societies, launched an initiative to donate blood, with the aim of promoting the culture of volunteer work, as part of the activities of the Syrian Family Days campaign.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor, Salih Barakat, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the initiative will continue for three days with the aim of supplying the blood bank in the governorate with its need of blood bags, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan as it is the month of goodness and blessing.
Muhammad Al-Zein, director of the Martyr Foundation in Aleppo, one of the volunteers in the initiative, pointed out its importance in enhancing the role of youth as a substitute for the Syrian Arab Army and promoting the culture of volunteering in various sectors, especially the medical sector.
Muhammad Hashash, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Society for the Rehabilitation of the Physically Handicapped, pointed out that the initiative comes in support and appreciation for everyone who pushed and spends blood for the sake of the homeland, indicating the importance of volunteer work that reflects the values of the interdependent Syrian society, and this is what was confirmed by his volunteer colleague Dunia Al-Arja by undertaking many humanitarian initiatives in Aleppo To guide youth towards purposeful and humanitarian volunteer work.
Whereas the young volunteer Rawda Al-Sayed always takes part and does not hesitate to donate blood to help those in need, while the young volunteer Khadija Deeb said it is my duty to help my countrymen within these volunteer initiatives, since blood donation is a national and humanitarian duty, calling on all Syrian youth to contribute and humanitarian work as one hand at all.
