A 28-year-old first aider was seriously injured on a mission trip on Wednesday around 9.15 a.m.
The young woman, who had been called to an emergency as a so-called first responder, drove a BMW from Wagenhofen in the direction of Unterumbach.
According to the police, she lost control of her vehicle on this route.
The BMW hit the head-on wood that was piled up to the right of the roadway, causing the first aider to suffer serious injuries and having to be taken to the central hospital in Augsburg by ambulance.
A rescue helicopter that had already landed continued its flight without a patient.
There was property damage amounting to around 7,000 euros.
The fire brigade from Pfaffenhofen / Glonn was deployed at the scene of the accident.
