Today, the Homs Chamber of Commerce launched the Ramadan Good People Initiative in the exhibition city in the Al-Waer district of the city, with the participation of economic activities in the governorate.

The initiative aims to distribute food baskets to needy families in the governorate, according to Iyad Darraq Al-Sebaei, head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, to promote social solidarity and to consolidate the values ​​of love by supporting needy families and providing a food basket that meets their needs.

Al-Sebaei indicated that the baskets are distributed according to nominal schedules by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor and in coordination with civil and charitable societies, explaining that the initiative will continue until the distribution of all food baskets according to the quantities received from the good people of Homs Governorate from the commercial activities that have not stopped supporting the initiative since the announcement. About it with the advent of the month of Ramadan.

Al-Sebaei praised the efforts of all the contributors to the initiative, whether the governorate of Homs as a supervising authority or the commercial activities that presented their products, some civil and charitable societies and the volunteer youth from the International Junior Chamber in Homs, who gave their time to arrange and organize the baskets, packing and sealing them in order to arrive in an elegant and tidy way to their beneficiaries.

Engineer Samar El Sebaei, Director of Social Affairs and Labor, indicated that the People of Good Today initiative launched by the Chamber of Commerce and before it, the Bread and Salt initiative for the Homs Chamber of Industry, was aimed at reaching all needy families, especially during the holy month.

Engineer Samer Al-Safwa, the treasurer of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, pointed out the importance of the initiative to deliver aid to those who deserve it, with active and positive participation by commercial activities in Homs, who record a positive imprint in the quest to support development work and create job opportunities for the needy also in the governorate.

Safwa pointed out that all the necessary equipment and supplies will be secured, and the distribution will be according to the schedules set by the social affairs and work on homes through special cars that have been prepared for this purpose.

Dr. Samia Sarkis, Chair of the Board of Directors of the International Junior Chamber in Homs for the current year, referred to the contribution of the Chamber's youth volunteers, especially in the month of goodness, to prove the humanitarian and developmental role of the Chamber as part of the local community.

Sateeh Kasouha, Secretary of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, pointed out the importance of the contribution of a number of civil and charitable societies to establish development projects after preparing studies for them and in coordination with social affairs and work in Homs.
