Moscow - Sana
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that a war should be avoided in the Donbas region, southeast of Ukraine, because that represents a threat to the security of the entire region.
Lavrov said in an interview with Russian Sputnik about news about the possibility of a war in Donbas: “I will not speculate about what the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, will do because external indications indicate that what matters most to him is to stay in power and he is ready to pay any price and even go with the Nazis. Neo-radicals. ”
Earlier, Zelensky invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet anywhere in Donbas, while Putin announced that if Zelensky wanted to restore relations with Russia, Moscow would welcome him.
On the other hand, Lavrov announced that the Russian government will soon announce a list of unfriendly countries that Moscow intends to take measures to respond to its practices towards them, pointing out that the criteria adopted in this context are clear.
Lavrov added, "I think that will happen soon. The government has specific instructions and the criteria that we will guide in this work are clear, so I think the wait will not be long."
It is noteworthy that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed last Friday a decree on measures to respond to the unfriendly actions of foreign countries towards his country, while Russian-European relations have been witnessing tension recently, especially after the Czech Republic decided to terminate the work of a number of Russian diplomats.
