It appears that the banker and former senior secretary of the State Secretariat, Thomas Mobiles, will be appointed the new US ambassador to Israel, the Washington Post reported this morning.
Niles (60) currently serves as Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley Investment Bank, one of the most important and largest in America.
He comes from a Jewish family from Minnesota.
Between 2013-2011 he was Deputy Secretary of State for Human Resources under then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the Obama administration.
The appointment comes amid a string of important appointments that President Joe Biden intends to man in the coming days and weeks.
