Senior Defense Ministry officials presented to Saidian's family yesterday the findings of the investigation into the arson by an investigation team led by the deputy director and head of the planning department, Col. (Res.) Eliezer Karni.

According to the investigation, there was a gap in the ability of caregivers to provide an immediate response to the needs of IDF disabled people.

Last week there was a deterioration in Saidian's condition, so his condition was defined as human and he was in immediate danger of death.

Saidian, who participated in Operation Resilient Cliff in 2014, set himself on fire in protest of the conduct of the Ministry of Rehabilitation Department and its lack of care.

After the incident, Saidian is rushed to the hospital in a critical condition with burns all over his body, and has since been anesthetized and respirated.

After the incident, IDF and Halomi Krav disabled people began to protest against the wing, claiming that it ignored their plight. Last week, the protesters even blocked Ayalon lanes for several hours, carrying signs that read sentences such as "Do not leave wounded behind," Following the protest, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the chairman of the IDF Disabled Organization, Idan Kliman, in the Tel Aviv campus.
