The Likud Center this evening (Tuesday) approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's authorization to submit a proposal for a joint list of candidates for the 25th Knesset.
This, after the chairman of the Likud Center, MK Haim Katz, convened the members of the Likud Center to discuss and vote on Netanyahu's request.
The list, as it is compiled, will be submitted to the Likud Secretariat for approval.
"We are facing all kinds of political storms, as well as all kinds of moves and all kinds of challenges. During this time, I am making a tremendous effort together with the members here to form a right-wing government," Netanyahu said during the conference.
"We must form a right-wing government because the challenges are challenges that will challenge the country and only a right-wing government will be able to meet those challenges."
Earlier this week, the Likud's constitutional committee approved Netanyahu's proposal to authorize it to offer armor and joint run agreements to MKs and parties that remain loyal to the right - wing bloc.

During a meeting of the Constitution Committee, Netanyahu said the proposal was "a constraint to prevent a left-wing government. We may not need the arrangement and it will be repealed. It is a safety net if we go to the polls."
