The Russian Space Agency Roscosmos announced today that the Progress MS-14 cargo vehicle has separated from the International Space Station a year after its docking with it.
The Russian news agency TASS reported that the Progress spacecraft has separated from the Zvezda unit in the Russian sector in the International Space Station and that it will continue to fly automatically in space for a whole day to test a new system to control the direction when it sinks.
It is noteworthy that Progress cargo vehicles are used to transport goods to astronauts on the International Space Station, such as fuel, oxygen, air and drinking water, by means of which the process of adjusting the height of the International Station's orbit and preventing collision with space waste.
