Federal agents raided Rudy Giuliani's New York apartment today (Wednesday) as part of an investigation into his dealings with Ukraine.
According to a report in the New York Times, investigators confiscated electronic devices from the home of Giuliani, the former mayor of New York and the lawyer of former United States President Donald Trump.
The Manhattan federal prosecution's investigation focuses on Giuliani's ties with Ukraine, including his request for an investigation into the business of Joe Biden and his son Hunter in the country before the last US presidential election.
The Biden family denies any wrongdoing.
Although the search warrant does not necessarily mean that 76-year-old Giuliani has broken the law, his approval by a judge signals a breakthrough in the investigation, in part because it is an unusual move against a lawyer.
