Following an interview with Israel Today last week, the Azeri Minister of Economy officially announced his country's intention to open offices to promote tourism and trade in Israel.

: Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikhail Jabarov announced today (Wednesday) that Azerbaijan intends to open an official tourism promotion office and a diplomatic trade office in Israel this year.
The announcement came during the second meeting of the Israel-Azerbaijan Joint Committee (the first took place in 2018), which was held online today and dealt with the promotion of bilateral relations and trade between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said: "Azerbaijan is an ally, friend and the largest energy supplier of the State of Israel.
Prior to the meeting of the mixed committee, Ministers Ashkenazi and Jabarov discussed regional developments in the Middle East, including the expansion of the circle of peace states within the framework of the Abrahamic Agreements, and possible cooperation between the two countries.
Also discussed was the possibility of Azeri recognition of the Israeli vaccinated certificate and granting a permit for Israeli tourists to enter Azerbaijan.
