Corona violations at the Unterbruck skater park: "The young people are just bored"

Again and again there are violations of the Corona rules by young people in the community of Fahrenzhausen.

That was the topic in the local council.

Carolin Patock also had to admit this when she presented the youth work association to the Fahrenzhausen municipal council and talked about current developments.

The Zweckverband Jugendarbeit Haimhausen covers the eastern district of Dachau and is a well-known figure in the neighboring district.

In addition, there are currently two municipalities from the Pfaffenhofen district (Jetzendorf, Reichertshausen) and Fahrenzhausen as the only municipality from the Freising area.

Here, however, the Zweckverband is indispensable as the operator of youth centers, various care offers and open youth work.

In the lockdown, the youth center remains closed, and that caused a "relocation of the youth".

Andreas Kern wished that you had to take a closer look at the skater area on the FCA Unterbruck sports grounds.

Larger groups meet there regularly, some of them consume alcohol and leave rubbish behind.

"The youngsters are just bored," said Kern.

Carolin Patock and her team are regularly out and about at this “hot spot”. She made it clear that these are different groups that should not be lumped together by the local councils: On the one hand, there are young people who simply want to use the freely accessible area for skating. On the other hand, young people also used the location, which is somewhat remote from the residential development, as a meeting point, because leisure activities such as the youth club are not accessible in times of Corona. The employees of the special purpose association for youth work reported that there were three regular meeting places for young people in the form of the skater area, the area surrounding the youth center and the forest kindergarten. "The situation is not easy for the young people," it said.The employees of the youth center would regularly stop by the places and seek dialogue with the young people. The previous lockdowns have clearly shown that digital offerings are of little use. Nothing works without presence.
