Eight Venezuelan soldiers have been killed in recent days in fighting with irregular Colombian armed groups in southwestern Venezuela, on the border with Colombia, bringing to 16 the number of soldiers killed in the area since March 21, according to the Ministry of Defense Wednesday April 28.

The ministry issued a death notice with the names of the eight soldiers killed
