Eng. Abdul Majeed Qalfa, General Manager of the General Company for Hama Oils, stated that a new line of cotton seed shavers has been put into service after the completion of its installation operations as part of plans to increase production capacity and meet the increasing demand for pure cotton seed oil.
Gilfah pointed out to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the new shaving line includes 6 shavers, 2 of which are a first and 4 second shave, and it was transferred from Ein al-Tal factory in Aleppo and installed within the company after making many adjustments to it.
He said that there are two shaving lines, the first is old since 1960, consisting of 17 shavers, and it suffers from the age of its machines. Tons per day, indicating that the new line was installed in place of the old first line, which contributed to achieving savings in the consumption of electrical energy and labor, as well as increasing the production capacity of the line, which reached 100 tons of cotton seeds per day.
Qalfah pointed to the great efforts made by the technical and engineering teams in the company around the clock to repair and replace most of the production parts and make adjustments to the pumps, motors, electrical circuits, axles and mechanical parts of many machines, which contributed to the stability of the production process and the provision of large sums of money.
It is noteworthy that the company's total sales during the first quarter of this year reached one billion and 201 million and 692 thousand pounds.
