The Technical Services Directorate in Latakia has started implementing a sanitation project within the municipality of Fadio in the governorate countryside to address leakage from the old line that was implemented 35 years ago.
The Director of Technical Services, Eng. Muhammad Ali, explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the directorate, as soon as it was informed of the administrative unit that there was a leak and broke the line, prepared the technical study and the necessary estimated detection and contracted for the implementation with the coastal region branch of the General Company for Building and Reconstruction.
Engineer Ali explained that the line serves a group of citizens' homes and the Central Prison in Lattakia as a result of the presence of many obstacles at the site of implementation, and the route of the line has been changed to speed completion and avoid work obstacles, noting that the project includes a line of 800 meters of polyethylene with a diameter of 40 centimeters to ensure that it accommodates the largest possible abundance. A substitute for the cement line executed previously and broken at more than one site.
