In Murnau, some retailers have unauthorized overriding the corona rules.
The reason was a ministerial paper with misinformation.

- The good news first: The current key question of corona policy in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district has been clarified: The easing for a seven-day incidence below 100 will apply from Wednesday, April 28th.
One major change: no negative test has to be presented when shopping - a relief that store operators hope for a more informal shopping experience and higher sales in the pandemic doldrums.

As a reminder: on Monday, April 26th, it was not yet clear how exactly the start date would be determined. The stipulations of the legislature may sound simple, but leave plenty of room for interpretation: the requirements for protection against infection are withdrawn somewhat if the aforementioned threshold value of 100 is not reached for at least five days in a row. The new regulations apply after a waiting day.
But which counting method is used?
According to the district office, the Bavarian Ministry of Health finally spoke a word of power.
The calculation is therefore below 100 from the first day - i.e. from Thursday, April 22nd.
“We open at the earliest possible time,” summarizes Stephan Scharf, spokesman for the district authority.
However, the advantages over regions with values above 100 are limited.
Because the Söder cabinet decided on Tuesday a series of incidence-independent easing anyway.

Be that as it may: According to Tagblatt information, part of the Murnau business world took a special route on Saturday, April 24th and the following Monday - and let customers into the sales rooms without a test certificate.
Apparently a profitable initiative.
"Sales were three times as high," reports Christian Echter, head of the fashion house of the same name in the heart of the market.
The entrepreneur has a simple explanation for the effect: In his opinion, requirements such as mandatory testing deter consumers who are already corona-weary.

But on Monday afternoon the police stepped in - and put an end to the Murnau economic stimulus program.
It is not yet clear whether the whole thing will have legal consequences.
In any case, Echter and his colleagues have a plausible explanation for their unauthorized advance.
You are referring to the Bavarian Ministerialblatt dated April 23rd with the number 289. The official paper erroneously states that the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district did not exceed the 100 mark on April 20th, 21st and 22nd.
But this was only the case from April 22nd.

In addition, in the past only three consecutive days were actually enough to make the corset less taut.
Echter therefore waived the obligation to test - although there is a station in his fashion store.
Some joined.
“The word got around quickly,” reports the operations manager.
Even the Bavarian Trade Association gave the green light.
Echter is not aware of any guilt.
The fault lies with the Free State.
“We took it at face value,” he justifies his approach with reference to the Ministerialblatt.
When it comes to Corona, nobody can see through any more.
“It's an impertinence,” complains Echter.
But he remains confident: "I am firmly convinced that we will get out of there again."
