Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned the use of modern communication technologies by some countries to spread lies against Iran.
Fars News Agency quoted Khatib Zadeh as saying in a speech to the 43rd session of the Information Committee of the United Nations General Assembly that “some industrialized countries, through communication technologies, distort the image of other countries and harm their interests, and the international community must pay immediate attention to such a harmful and inappropriate situation. “.
He expressed his regret over the behavior of some developed countries in modern communication technologies in distorting, falsifying, fabricating events and falsifying the facts of other countries, especially in developing countries.
In another context, Zadeh stressed that in light of the Corona pandemic, unilateral coercive measures, including illegal sanctions and economic, commercial and financial pressures, have been imposed on a number of countries, and because of them, these countries cannot effectively protect their citizens from the Corona virus.
Khatibzadeh called for global unity, solidarity and international cooperation to abolish unilateral coercive measures, including unlawful sanctions.
