The Lidl company is planning to build a new fresh produce warehouse in Poing on Gruber Strasse.

Specifically at Gruber Strasse 60. There is already a Lidl supermarket on the other (south) side of the street.
The future warehouse will be set up in the building of an existing, currently closed logistics center, which Lidl bought from Avnet (based in the Poing Technology Park).
The office and administration building, which is located directly on Gruber Strasse, is to be retained.
The logistics center behind it will be partially demolished and rebuilt.
In addition, truck parking spaces are to be built.
Building committee Poing approves the plans
At the meeting of the building and environmental committee of the Poing municipal council on Tuesday evening, the application for a preliminary ruling was submitted, which means: As a first step, the builder wants to know from the municipality whether the project is admissible and feasible at all.
The answer from the administration and the building committee: yes.
Because it is a commercial area and no externally visible changes are made to the buildings.
Lidl presents traffic reports
According to a traffic report commissioned by Lidldienstleistungen GmbH & Co. KG, “a total of approx. 80 trucks with 160 truck journeys are expected on average per day”.
The report that was presented at the committee meeting also states: “Since there is no disposal or return area in Poing, an additional ten truck cross-traffic to exchange freezer boxes to Anzing will be carried out by Lidl's own forwarding agency.
The delivery of goods by third parties is also possible via the Parsdorf junction of the A 94. "
Compensation payments for trips through residential areas
The word “also” is used at this point because, according to expert reports, all truck traffic is directed westwards via Gruber Straße (to the motorway or via the motorway). This also applies to cross traffic between the two Lidl warehouses in Anzing and Poing. Quote: “Basically, the fresh produce warehouse to be built should be directly connected to the A 94 without disproportionately affecting the residential development and the center of Poing.” Should Lidl's own trucks nevertheless choose the shorter route between Poing and Anzing through residential areas (for example via the street Am Hanselbrunn and the Anzinger street), it says in the report that such violations could be substantiated with compensation payments, for example to a local day care center.
