Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his country's intention to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to India to confront the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
RIA Novosti reported that Putin expressed, during a telephone conversation he had today with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his country's support for India in the difficult period it is facing during the fight against the spread of Corona virus infection.
Putin and Modi welcomed the registration of the Russian "Sputnik V" vaccine against the Corona virus in India, and indicated its high efficiency and safety.
The number of HIV infections has continued to rise in India since mid-February, as it became the second country in terms of the number of corona infections in the world, with in recent days it recorded daily world records with hundreds of thousands of infections.
