On the date of the poll on June 20 and 27, people aged 50 and over "

will be able to have benefited at least from a first injection

", recalls the ministry in this circular which details the health protocol to be applied for the elections. "

It is in this category of people that the members of the polling stations should be sought as a priority

," assessors and municipal officials, continues the text, consulted by AFP.

The ministry asks the mayors to identify the members of the polling stations not yet vaccinated and not belonging to this age category to give them "

without delay

" a "

certificate of priority of access to vaccination

". The latter will thus be able to "

make an appointment at the vaccination center

", specifies the text. The members of the polling station who could not be vaccinated before the ballot will have to carry out a PCR test, antigen or self-test, "

in the 48 hours preceding the poll

".

The circular details the other health rules that had already been presented by Prime Minister Jean Castex on April 13. Among these are the possibility of extending the hours of the polling stations from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. "

depending on local circumstances

", the strict application of "

barrier measures

" during the vote and counting with in particular the provision of "

Suitable protective equipment

" for voters who do not have it or the facilitation of proxy voting.
