Alberto Fernández, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Axel Kicillof

saw each other again after two weeks of criticism over the City's decision not to abide by the presidential DNU that prohibited face-to-face classes at the AMBA.

This time the President, the Buenos Aires governor and the Buenos Aires head of government were not alone. They are accompanied by executives from 10 other provinces on the second day of dialogue with provincial leaders led by Fernández before signing a new DNU on the epidemiological situation. Rodríguez Larreta pointed out that the plateau in the contagion curve in the City is very high and that it will be

necessary to take tougher measures to preserve the health system

. Kicillof urgently called for flattening the curve and insisted that face-to-face classes increase circulation.

Strictly speaking, there had already been talks between the government and political delegates from Kicillof and Rodríguez Larreta to bring positions closer together. On Tuesday at noon, Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero

held a meeting

with his peers from the Province, Carlos Bianco, and from the City, Felipe Miguel. They agreed to reinforce controls in the AMBA. Today Sabina Frederic discussed with the Buenos Aires Secretary of Security Marcelo D'Alessandro and the Minister of Transport Juan José Méndez the possibility of

closing some drops of General Paz to channel traffic

towards the controls that the federal forces and the City police have. .

This detail was valued by the head of government during his speech. "I want to highlight) the importance of resuming the dialogue and the coordination of the measures to be taken, such as this space; as happened with the heads of Cabinet, the security and transport teams and the health teams," he said.

Far from the tension of the last two weeks, the head of government agreed with the President on the need to tighten controls, a persistent claim from the Casa Rosada to the City. "We agree with the President in the reinforcement and

strengthening of mobility controls

and compliance with current restrictions and

the new ones that are eventually added,

" he stressed before insisting that it will be necessary to prioritize activities in open spaces over those that they are carried out in closed spaces.

The head of government explained that the filing of cases in the City is too high and

will force the City to take more severe measures

. "The health situation of the City with a plateau of cases of several days ago in 2,700 infections is very high and

is not sustainable over time and forces us to reinforce measures

to reduce daily cases," he said. He also called for a re-registration of circulation permits for essential workers.

The Buenos Aires governor drew up a lapidary diagnosis of the epidemiological situation.

"If we continue on a plateau it is a disaster, we must reduce the cases. We must urgently flatten the curve. The sequence has been repeated as manual, it starts in the City, continues in Amba and then in the interior of the Province", the governor described.

The Buenos Aires president stressed that the new strains that circulate are increasingly lethal and contagious and once again pointed out the movement of students to schools as a source of contagion.

"Schools imply great mobility, lowering circulation implies lowering contacts and infections. Today we have an urgency: we must free up beds in hospitals. We will accompany the decisions that Alberto makes in the AMBA," said the governor. .

Close to Kicillof recognize that they want to move forward with a strong closure that does not affect the industry and production. However, it is still not clear what the Government and City proposal will be. They admit that the diagnoses on the sides of General Paz are now on the same page.

The President, for his part, insisted on the need to reinforce the message to the public so that they take extreme care during the day and asked that the governors better control the measures, a reproach that was heard in recent weeks in the Casa Rosada. "Not only do you have to take care of yourself at night, you have to take care of yourself during the day. You have to remember that care should also be in the daytime, you have to do this teaching task with society. You have to reinforce controls. If we agree to restrict circulation they have to accompany me in complying with the rules, "said Fernández.

The President had received the head of government alone in Olivos on April 16, after Rodríguez Larreta demanded an urgent meeting with the President at a press conference.

Seven days later, at the Casa Rosada, Kicillof held a meeting with the head of state for almost three hours where it was agreed to strengthen the Buenos Aires health system.

This Wednesday from the North Hall of the Casa Rosada, the President, the Secretary General of the Presidency Julio Vitobello, the Minister of the Interior

Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro

and his health

partner

,

Carla Vizzotti

, listen to the diagnosis of the governors.

In addition to Rodríguez Larreta and Kicillof, the governors of Córdoba, Juan Schiaretti;

Chubut, Marioni Arcioni;

La Pampa, Sergio Ziliotto;

Mendoza, Rodolfo Suarez;

Santa Fe, Omar Perotti;

Neuquén, Omar Gutiérrez;

San Luis, Alberto Rodríguez Saá;

Río Negro, Arabela Carreras;

Santa Cruz, Alicia Kirchner;

and Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melella.

In his meeting on Tuesday with the remaining 12 governors (the 10 from the North plus those from Entre Ríos and San Juan), the President asked to reduce infections and increase controls.

“We must ensure that circulation and social contacts are the least possible.

You have to make that effort.

We have all seen this movie, "claimed Fernández.

Today he insisted with the same message.

The head of state resumed the dialogue with provincial leaders before defining restrictions after having taken the last ones alone, which included the suspension of presence in the schools of the AMBA.

In the previous DNU that came into effect on April 10, Fernández had not held meetings with the governors either, but he did communicate by telephone with several of them.

The same did Cafiero and De Pedro.

At the beginning of the month, the Casa Rosada grew uneasy with the governors due to the scarce supervision of the controls and the almost null will of the provincial leaders to impose measures on their own.

"Here what is needed more than changes or new tools is to control," a collaborator of the President was honest.

The President would sign the new DNU with restrictions this Friday.
