The dream ends.
Mauro Morandi, an 81-year-old man, who lived for more than 30 years on a desert island, ended his hermit adventure.
Known as the "Italian Robinson Crusoe", Morandi, arrived in 1989 on the island of Budelli, located off the coast of Sardinia.
He was trying to sail to Polynesia from Italy, but was captivated by the small island and soon after arriving he took up the position of its caretaker, a role he held for 32 years.
