NEW - Reserved for sporty versions of the ID range, the GTX label begins its career with the ID SUV. 4. On the menu: all-wheel drive and 300 hp.

We knew the GTI, GTD and more recently GTE labels.

Volkswagen is now adding the GTX label for the sportier versions of the ID electric range.

This new signature begins its career with the ID.4 family SUV launched a few weeks ago.

The designers and engineers have taken care to distinguish the GTX version from other models in the range.

Thus, the first car of the GTX family adopts redesigned shields, a new light signature based on Matrix lights incorporating 18 LEDs, 3D effect led taillights, oversized tires of 20 or 21 inches, a lowered chassis of 15 mm. with the Sport package option.

This pack also includes variable gear steering.

Adaptive dampers are also available.

Unlike the ID.4, the GTX version adds a second asynchronous electric machine on the front axle.

In total, the combined power comes out to 299 hp.

This is how the vehicle can reach 60 km / h in 3.2 seconds and 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds.

The subject of debate for a few days, the top speed is here limited to 180 km / h.

It should be noted that the ID.4 GTX most often only works with the 204 hp rear electric motor and the front motor is only activated at the driver's request to provide four-wheel drive or when the system detects loss of motor skills.

The engines are coupled to a 77 kWh battery providing a range of 480 km.

To be in tune with the positioning of the vehicle, the designers have imagined a new interior atmosphere combining dark purple blue and red.
