The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed the need to lift the illegal and coercive Western economic measures imposed on Syria and to read the situation in it in an objective and correct manner instead of adopting positions that lead to prolonging the crisis, increasing the spread of chaos and terrorism, blackmailing the Syrian people, and repeating failed prescriptions that caused the destruction and sabotage of more than country.
Al-Jaafari pointed out in his speech today via video during the International Arab Forum to lift the siege and abolish sanctions against Syria, which was organized by the Arab National Conference and the International Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity in Beirut with the participation of more than 250 Arab and international personalities that the economic and financial terrorism practiced against Syria today has not only manifested itself. In its current form, it was through unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States, the European Union and other countries. Al-Jaafari pointed to the systematic targeting of air defense bases and military bases on the first lines of the front with the Israeli enemy, as well as the assassination of war pilots, and the targeting of civilian infrastructure and economic resources, as their crimes extended to power stations, bridges, laboratories, and pipelines. Oil and gas, schools, hospitals, and the accompanying elimination of job opportunities, increasing unemployment, and pushing people to flee towards asylum, displacement, migration, and drowning in the waters of sea thieves, all of which were promoted by the nation’s enemies as an "Arab Spring."
Al-Jaafari stated that the coercive measures represent a clear picture of the political hypocrisy practiced by some countries, as is the case in Syria, where those countries that imposed these measures claim "their concern for the Syrian people" while continuing to violate Syria's sovereignty and the policy of non-cooperation with the Syrian government and impose its measures. It binds the provision of any aid in the field of development or reconstruction to political conditions, which contradicts the principles of humanitarian and development work and hinders the efforts of the Syrian state to achieve recovery and reconstruction and create appropriate conditions for the return of internally displaced persons to their homes and refugees to their country.
Al-Jaafari stressed that, contrary to what the United States and the European Union claim that there are exceptions that allow funding of basic pharmaceutical and foodstuffs, the unfair sanctions have directly affected all the basic necessities of the Syrian people and have affected surgical strings, magnetic resonance devices, drugs needed to treat tumors and dialysis, which requires addressing this new form. From the terrorism devised in the viral political warfare against our nation, countries and peoples, and it is economic and financial terrorism.
Al-Jaafari referred to what was stated in the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action (the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights that food should not be used as a tool for political pressure, indicating that it seems that these international legal texts were designed only for the weak and not for the powerful and those with influence and hegemony. Al-Jaafari said: Over the past ten years, my country has been subjected to an unprecedented terrorist war in light of the silence of other countries, the complicity and conspiracy of other countries ... Terrorism has targeted our societies under deceptive names, has caused unprecedented crimes against our peoples, and has contributed to creating humanitarian crises in many countries ... terrorism that feeds On the miscalculation of the political calculations of some governments that sponsor chaos, extremism, terrorism and brutality, so the peoples of our region, their security, safety and prosperity were the victims .. Terrorism that destroyed civilization and affected the cultural heritage in Mosul, Sinjar, Raqqa, Aleppo, Maarat al-Numan and the Syrian Jazira region, and brainwashing millions of our youths .. Terrorism prolonged and prolonged milk Our children, our livelihood, and our patients' medicine.
Al-Jaafari clarified that the United States, the United Kingdom, France and other countries have harnessed all their capabilities to undermine the land, people and political position of Syria, to settle their new old scores with them, and to achieve their own interventionist agendas at the expense of the blood of the Syrian people, their capabilities, and the future of their children. “ISIS” and “Al-Nusra Front” to distort the reality of what has happened and is happening in Syria, as it has made use of all its financial and media capabilities to support terrorist groups that wreaked havoc on the entire Syrian territory and opened the borders to facilitate the passage of tens of thousands of terrorists mercenaries from more than a hundred countries into Syria, as recognized by the Subcommittee The Security Council has been concerned with combating terrorism and has established training camps for terrorists in neighboring countries, not to mention issuing penitential fatwas to permeate the blood of Syrians.

It contains what is called the "international coalition" under the pretext of fighting terrorism, and the best evidence for the crimes of this coalition is its deliberate destruction of about 90 percent of the Syrian city of Raqqa.
Al-Jaafari said: In order to put matters in their correct logical balance, let us compare the hatred of the enemies of our nation against Iraq and their hatred against Syria .. Al-Jaafari emphasized that this conspiracy and the satanic plans of these countries collided with an impenetrable wall and great courage from the Syrian Arab Army and its allies who thwarted the plans of these countries and astonished the world with their legendary steadfastness and their ability to overcome difficulties and achieve achievements in the face of the fiercest barbaric war witnessed in modern history in light of creative interaction and national cohesion between the leadership The state, the army and the people.
Al-Jaafari stressed that what is required today is an immediate cessation of brutal interference in Syria's internal affairs, politically, economically and militarily, ending the unjust and illegal procedures, and reading the situation in them in an objective and correct manner instead of adopting positions that lead to the escalation and prolongation of the crisis and the increase in the spread of chaos and terrorism and the blackmail of the government and the Syrian people and repeating prescriptions A failure that caused the destruction and sabotage of more than one country, once again affirming that the pressures and plots, even if they intensified and diversified, would only increase the Syrians' resolve and determination to face challenges ..
