But not everyone should like the location of the new building - for good reason.
Pullach - The municipality of Pullach, whose agenda is so full, has not dealt with its "big issues" for over a year.
The course has now been set in the municipal council for a new swimming pool at the current location without any major discussion.
And a school working group came to the conclusion that Pullach will also find solutions for its school extensions or new buildings if the middle school cannot be relocated to Baierbrunn.
The future of the bathroom has been fought for for twelve years
The leisure pool in the municipality is a real long-runner.
For twelve years there has been an argument about whether to renovate the bathroom or build a new one.
Two and a half years ago, what was not easy for the local council, it was decided to build a new building on one of the last vacant areas in the village, the Kuhwiese.
18 months later, the committee reversed its own decision.
What was presented over and over again in all the discussions, whatever the result: The people of Pullach should not be expected to close the swimming pool if possible.
Can bathing operations be maintained through a provisional swimming pool?
That is exactly why you will not get around it now. It was decided not to rebuild the swimming pool on the lawn, as has been suggested in the meantime. But exactly where it is now. However, it became known at the meeting that the CSU wanted to apply to plant a temporary swimming pool on the lawn for the construction period. "Something like that should be available for four million euros," said parliamentary group leader Christine Eisenmann
There was no longer any controversial argument.
Cornelia Zechmeister (WiP) and Andreas Most (Pullach Plus) only confirmed something for the working group, which was also founded on the subject of swimming pools and which has since visited a pool in Freising that is the size of what Pullach has in mind the administration has been preaching for a long time: The existing leisure pool cannot be saved, another operation “is not justifiable”, says Most.
Zechmeister: "That would be grossly negligent", fire protection is no longer guaranteed.
Under certain circumstances, the building authority manager Peter Kotzur said that the roof can no longer tolerate large amounts of snow.
Mayor hopes for a happy ending
Only Holger Ptacek (SPD) from the old Kuhwiesen parliamentary group spoke up.
With him, three representatives of the Greens ultimately voted against the new building at the old address, but they did not comment.
Ptacek said: "The community is now starting with the worse solution, I find that cynical." A parking garage could not be built in Hans-Keis-Strasse, that was bad.
However: "I am the minority opinion." Mayor Susanna Tausendfreund (Greens), who had always considered the Kuhwiese to be more sensible, said in the meeting conciliatory: "I hope that the long history of the swimming pool will now come to a happy ending."
Several options for expanding the school landscape
And the schools? For them there are more options, as the responsible working group found out in eleven meetings, than initially thought. It is clear that the primary school should really move to the middle school location, as has long been considered anyway. Variants for the middle school: It could be built on the area of the current elementary school, on the Kuhwiese or near the grammar school. A new high school building is no longer ruled out either. On the other hand, a joint school campus for elementary and middle school on the Kuhwiese and a new elementary school on the Seitnerfeldern were rejected.
