Many over 70 year olds are still waiting for a vaccination offer

The number of vaccine doses that reach the district is increasing.

But some older people are still waiting for an appointment.

Meanwhile, the district office has to grapple with software problems again.

The displeasure of many district citizens over 70 who are still waiting for a vaccination appointment is also felt in the district Christoph Göbel in discussions.

“I don't really understand the system either,” said Göbel at a press conference on Thursday.

The problem: Around 4,000 people between the ages of 70 and 79 are still registered for a vaccination in the Prio2 level, plus around 11,000 others who, for various reasons, also fall into this priority group.

So it's hard to say when the 71-year-old will get his vaccination appointment.

Especially since there are always people who are still registered for a vaccination but have already received it from their family doctor.

“They should definitely delete their account in BayIMCO,” says Göbel.

Private doctors should also be allowed to vaccinate

If it were up to him, “the prioritization is now being lifted, but a certain amount of vaccine is reserved for the vaccination centers so that they can continue to vaccinate according to age”.

In addition, private doctors should also be allowed to vaccinate as soon as possible.

The district received 9,984 vaccine doses this week, and next week it will be 11,632.

89 654 district citizens have already been vaccinated, of which 24 875 have complete vaccination protection.

The 7-day incidence currently fluctuates between the magic points 100 and 150. “So there are no new regulations,” says Göbel.

New software requires manual work

It is unclear whether the 7-day incidence will remain a reliable guide in the near future. Because in the district office, a software change is due again: The old program, with which the data of infected people were previously recorded in the health department and which was also used for tracking, will be switched off today. The new program that all health authorities in Germany now use is called Sormas. The problem: There is still no functioning interface to the other programs that the health department uses, for example to the reporting software of the laboratories or to forwarding the data - which then flow into the 7-day incidence. So until there is a solution, a lot of data has to be transferred by hand. And even if an interface is set up, it could bethat everything does not go smoothly straight away and that numbers are not reliable. In case of doubt, "if the 7-day incidence is significantly lower than what our level of knowledge in the health department proves," says Göbel, the measures would be based on the actual occurrence of the infection.

Test before the council meeting

Meanwhile, many citizens who attend a meeting of their local council must be tested in advance in the future - and local politicians too.

The Bavarian Ministry of the Interior suggested this to the municipalities in a letter.
