The stones of Montenegro are hard as steel and sharp as glass.
Going up the side of the canyon that hosts the Chinese road is not a walk in the park.
It is right here, in the rocky heart of the Balkans, that the Chinese came to build what many in Europe already call the highway to nothingness.
A magnificent work of engineering and ingenuity.

Seen from the banks of the Moraca, the river that descends towards the capital Podgorica, the viaduct pylons emerge from the rocky valley like missiles ready to take off into space.
They are gigantic, disproportionate for a European motorway, but above all for a small state like Montenegro.
