Some federal states have now overturned the quarantine requirement for corona vaccinated people.
For the most part, this also applies to returning from vacation.
The federal government has usually tightened rather than relaxed the measures to contain the coronavirus in recent months.
In principle, there is an obligation to quarantine when returning from high-risk, high-incidence and virus variant areas.
However, some federal states have decided to relax people who are fully vaccinated.
In other words: Anyone who received their last dose of the corona vaccination at least 14 days ago will benefit from it.
7.4 percent of the total population are currently fully vaccinated (as of April 28).
Returnees on vacation: No more obligation to quarate in Bavaria, Hesse and Brandenburg
Since Wednesday (April 28),
fully vaccinated people in Bavaria who tested negative have been treated the same way
. Anyone who has received a vaccination dose twice and “has almost zero risk must be restored to their central basic rights,” said Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU). The decision is based on the assessment of the Robert Koch Institute, which estimates the risk of transmission by people who have been fully vaccinated to be lower than if a negative antigen test was present in people without symptoms. This relaxation also affects
the quarantine after entry
.
Hessen has also adapted its regulation to the recommendation of the Robert Koch Institute.
Here, too, fully vaccinated people are now on an equal footing with people with a negative corona test.
The regulation is to apply to all areas in which tests previously had to be submitted.
This affects not only visits to the hairdresser or shopping, but also the quarantine rules.
Anyone who was fully vaccinated 14 days ago and has no symptoms of the disease no longer needs to go into self-isolation when returning from vacation.
In Brandenburg, corona vaccinated persons no longer have to be quarantined after entry - this also applies to high-incidence areas.
However, the relaxation does not
apply to people returning from areas with virus variants
.

In these federal states there is also no quarantine requirement for travelers returning
Baden-Württemberg
and
Lower Saxony
had previously abolished the quarantine requirement for travelers returning from risk areas.
Also,
Rheinland-Pfalz
has adapted its Regulation initially limited.
Exceptions are entries from virus variant areas - here those affected must continue to isolate themselves.
In other federal states such as Bremen, an elimination of the quarantine requirement is at least planned.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, the quarantine requirement was overturned some time ago by the Higher Administrative Court in Münster - regardless of whether someone was vaccinated.
