Kathryn Mayorga maintains that the events took place in 2009. A year later she reached an economic agreement with the player but now she wants the case to be reopened

Kathryn Mayorga, 37, claims 65 million euros from Cristiano Ronaldo in damages for his past of "pain and suffering."

The model alleges that the soccer player raped her in a hotel in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) in 2009. The Portuguese emphatically denies all the accusations made against him.

Criminal charges have never been filed, as prosecutors assured that "it cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt."

Mayorga's lawyers have explained that it was the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment that inspired her to speak up.

Court documents released by

The Mirror

newspaper

maintain that the alleged rape took place in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009 after they met that same night at the RAIN nightclub. The model provides a list of witnesses her legal team wants to testify, which includes former British

Big Brother star

Jasmine Lennard, 35, who claims she dated the footballer in 2008.

According to Mayorga, after meeting she and Cristiano Ronaldo decided to go together to his room, where he invited her to bathe in the

jacuzzi.

But she, who did not want to get her dress wet, decided to change in the bathroom and put on a T-shirt that he offered her. When he was in his underwear, the footballer appeared in the bathroom. “Then he started touching me and grabbing me and he got on top of me. I pushed him and kept saying no, ”says Mayorga. Then she got dressed and, when she was going to leave the room, he grabbed her, took off her underwear and raped her.

After the alleged rape Cristiano Ronaldo did not want to let her go.

"I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure he said 'I'm sorry' or 'Are you okay?'

He insisted that he was a 99% 'good guy', except for that one percent, "she says.

In 2010, the model accepted 375,000 euros in an out-of-court settlement with Cristiano and his representatives, but three years later, Mayorga claimed that she was "mentally incapacitated" when she accepted the pact and filed a civil lawsuit.

In 2018, the player spoke of these facts: “I firmly deny the accusations that are made against me.

Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything I am and what I believe in. ''

And he assured: “I know that I am an example, one hundred percent.

On the pitch and off it.

The truth always comes out. "

Georgina Rodríguez, current partner of the Portuguese player, also criticized the American model: "She did not go to her hotel room to play cards."

Police were unable to conduct "any meaningful investigation" at the time because Mayorga refused to say who assaulted her or where it happened, US prosecutors said.

As a result, detectives "were unable to search and seize vital forensic evidence," and a video showing Ronaldo and Mayorga together was lost, they explained.

Mayorga contacted the police in August 2018 to request that the case be reopened, at which point he named Cristiano Ronaldo as the alleged assailant.
