The United States is investigating a possible
directed energy attack
that occurred last November near the White House, which was victimized by an official of the National Security Council, sources familiar with this incident told CNN.
What happened in Washington near the ellipse of grass on the south side of the White House resembles the mysterious invisible attacks known as "Havana syndrome," an
inexplicable disease that American personnel suffered
in Cuba in 2016 and that has been attributed to directed energy attacks.
The Pentagon and other agencies involved in the investigation reported earlier this month to members of the Senate and House Armed Services committees.
It is alarming, according to sources who spoke to CNN, that an attack like this occurred near the White House.
But there is also another, which
occurred in 2019 in Virginia
, on the outskirts of the capital, which is also being investigated by the authorities.

CIA and State Department personnel who were victims of the attacks known as the
“Havana syndrome”
in countries such as Cuba, Russia and China reported symptoms such as severe headache, nausea, vertigo, ringing in the ears and in some cases, an unidentified penetrating noise.

Investigations carried out so far have not led to the conclusion who may be behind these attacks, although China and Russia are among the suspects, according to sources cited by CNN.
Regarding the way in which they were carried out, the State Department is inclined to think that they are microwave energy attacks.
A report from the National Academy of Sciences in March revealed that "directed and pulsed radio frequency energy" was
the most likely cause of the strange symptoms
, according to CNN.
The report offered some of the clearest public evidence to date that the incidents could be attacks, attributing the conditions to "pulsed" or "directed" energy.
The Pentagon warned legislators
on
April 22
about the growing threat of energy attacks directed against its troops in Syria, Afghanistan and several countries in South America, according to the informative website Politico.
