Friends of 19 and 20 years old had the courage to testify about their daily life in front of the criminal court of Meaux, in Seine-et-Marne. Ell

“You could earn up to 1200 euros per day, it depended on the services.

We did not have schedules ”: the two women, aged 19 and 20, who recounted their lives as prostitutes answered without difficulty the questions of the president of the criminal court of Meaux, Wednesday April 28, 2021.

In the box: two of the four pimps, whom they had the courage to denounce, young people from Plessis-Trévise (Val-de-Marne), aged 19 and 21.

The police are actively looking for the other two.

They spoke with such ease that President Emmanuelle Teyssandier could not help but share her thoughts with them: “You made the effort to be there, that's good.

But do you realize the way you talk about it?

You are supported by an association, you have to hang on to it.

You have the ability to do other things when you are heard speaking.

The two friends in galley had come at the beginning of the year from the south of France, to "work" in Paris.

By working, we clearly mean prostituting oneself.

One of them had met one of the defendants.

An understanding had settled in the group on a certain organization.

"No, it's not a vocation"

Customers were baited via ads posted on the Internet and meetings were organized in apartments in Serris and Chessy, in Seine-et-Marne, rented via the Airbnb platform, as well as in a hotel in Pontault-Combault.

The four friends took turns on the spot “to protect” the young women or to buy them lubricants and condoms.

The rent for the accommodation was divided between girls and boys, half and half.

The text of one of the announcements was found on the phone of one of them.

“I didn't write it.

I just wanted to check him that it was okay, to protect them, ”he mumbled.

Immediate reaction from the president: “But that's the subject of the hearing!

Protecting prostitution is procuring ”.

The two defendants were sentenced to 30 months in prison, including 15 months, with a committal warrant.

The Meaux prosecutor's office had required three years in prison, two of which were closed, with a committal warrant.

It was on the evening of April 21 that the affair exploded into broad daylight.

The two women had decided to stop this "work".

But three of the pimps didn't hear it that way.

One of them was violent.

“We didn't recognize them that night,” they explained.

The trio left the apartment on rue de la Galmy, in Chessy, locking them up.

Distraught, the two friends called the police.

Officials from the Lagny-sur-Marne agglomeration police station remained behind the door for part of the night, until a locksmith intervened.

"I cried every night, I couldn't stand the customers anymore"

“They didn't force me to prostitute myself, but we don't lock people up. And you don't steal a prostitute's money, it's me who gives my body, ”said one of them. Her friend explained her decision to quit: "I couldn't take it anymore, I cried every night, I couldn't stand the customers anymore". Maître Lucile Levet, their lawyer, was "particularly saddened that we can speak of prostitution in a cold and automatic way as they have done": "No, it is not a vocation, the defendants must hear it. It is rare that prostitutes come to this bar to tell. Their word is particularly important ”. Before regretting: "The most dangerous always runs."
